CONSERVING FOOD SUPPLIES
An American who was invited to a wedding in England but couldn't go has received one of those nice little white boxes in which it is customary to send out tiny slices of wedding cake.. This one was empty, though, except for a printed note from His Majesty's •' Postmaster General explaining that in view of the regulations forbidding unlicensed exporting of food from the British Isles he had been obliged to remove the contents.
