FENCING PLIERS IN SHORT SUPPLY
ADVICE ON PROBLEM FROM WELLINGTON POSSIBILITY OF GRANTING OF IMPORT LICENCES Advi'ce that the Controller of Customs will sympathetically conconsider applications from importers for permission to import fencing pliers has been received by the Organising Secretary of the Bay of Plenty Province of Federated Farmers, Mr E. J. Vosper, from the General Secretary of the New Zealand Federation. This advi'ce, in view of the present unprocurability of fencing pliers throughout the Bay of Plenty is of considerable interest to farmers, and the General Secretary advises that the best course to adept is for individual farmers to get their merchants to press the importers to make application for import licenses for pliers.
