MORE RARE BIRDS FOUND
MUSEUM PARTY AT LAKE TE ANAU
(P.A.) Invercargill, Jan. 12. More notornis, or takahe, have been found in the Lake Te Anau area by a party of ten, headed by Dr R, A. Falla, director of the Dominion Museum, and directed by Dr G. B. Orbell, of Invercargill. The expedition had little difficulty in finding the haunts of the bird above the bushline and in the snow-grass. qo. v «ral films were taken. An official report will be issued .after Dr Falla has reported to the Internal Affairs Department.
