TROLLEY PUSES FOR WELLINGTON
SERVICE TO BEGIN NEXT MONTH TRAINING PLAN FOR DRIVERS (P.A.) Wellington, t^dav. It is hoped to have the Wellington trolley-bus service to Roseneath, via Oriental Bay, in operation by next March. Good progress is being made with' the construction of tire trolley buses, and the first are oxocctod to be leacly early in the New Year. When they are available, and the tram terminus-fire station overhead wires are electrified, a training plan for drivers will come into operation. It is intended to send two or three men to Christchurch to qualify on the trolley buses there as drivers, those men will return as instructors to about 20 men who will learn how to handle the buses along the stretch now being wired.
Later they will practice driving on the difficult hilly section from the tram terminus to Roseneath, and finally among the traffic in the city section.
