HALF MILLION FEET IN JAMES COOK
TIMBER VESSEL WILL SPEND CHRISTMAS IN TAURANGA
The timber vessel James Cook is almost certain to remain in Tauranga during the Christmas period. This statement was made yesterday by the Captain, Mr A. W. Deed. Just under half a million feet of timber had been stowed in the holds by 3 o’clock on Monday afternoon when heavy rain stopped work for the day. The class of timber now being loaded is odd-sized and is consequently difficult to stow.
