AMALGAMATION NOT FAVOURED
PROPOSED MERGER WITH WHANGAREI OBJECTIONS LODGED BY KAMO RESIDENTS (P.A. 1 Whangarei, Nov. 9. A decision to lodge an objection to the proposal of, the,Local Government Commission that the town district of Kamo should be amalgamated with the borough of Whangarei was made at a meeting of the Kamo Town Board. The board decided to call a public meeting at Kamo and place the position before residents.
The Board and people of Kamo opposed the amalgamation proposals when the commission held public sittings at Whangarei to consider the question.
