ESCAPED PRISONERS RECAPTURED
NO RESISTANCE GIVEN WARDERS
(P.A.) Taupo, Sept. 28. The three prisoners, Frank Lawrence Porteous, William Edward Thomas and Frederick John Lloyd, who escaped from the Hautu Prison Camp early on Sunday evening, were recaptured today. They found in open country by warders from the Rangioo Prison Camp near that camp at about 1 15 p.m. Apparently they Ird not h*rl any food or shelter since _ their c:;capo. They oiTerc-d no resistance.
