ORGANISATION TO STUDY TACTICAL AND TECHNICAL PPvOBLEMS
London, September 28. A permanent organisation is to be set up to study the tactical and technical problems of Western European defence, as well as dealing with problems of production and equipment. The organisation will include the nucleus of a land, air and naval command with a permanent military chairman. This is announced in a communique issued by the Defence Ministers of the five Western Union countries— Britain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg—after their talks in Paris. The Ministers agreed on a common policy, designed to ensure the security of the five powers as a whole within the scope of the Treaty of Brussels., and of the Charter of the United Nations. The British Defence Minister, Mr A. V. Alexander, will report to the. Cabinet in London on Thursday. '
