GRAPEFRUIT FOE CATTLE
Good-natured cattle \can be fattened on a grapefruit diet, says Dr W. G. Kirk, deputy director of Florida's cattle experimentation station. Cattle like the taste of grapefruit even more so if it is fermented a little, he says, and claims that meat from cattle fed on grapefruit is as good as the best beef.
But, he adds, grapefruit will not work with wilder types of cattle, as it seems to excite them, and thus keep their weight down.
