VISIT BY COLLEGE PUPILS

TAURANGA HARBOUR BOARD MEETING “WILL RE CITIZENS OF TOMORROW” Ten boys and girls, students of Tauranga College, were present at the monthly meeting of the Tau-v-riga Harbour Board this week as interested onlookers while the board’s business was transacted. Commenting on their presence, the chairman (Mr J. D. Alach) said the decision of the Principal (Mr A. M. Nicholson) to send the students to the meeting was an excellent one. Their interest m local body work, the chairman considered, was of paramount importance. Although children today, they would be the citizens of tomorrow, and would be better fitted to return the service to the community. He did not know of any better service that could be given to the com : munity -than by performing local body work.
