PUBLIC INQUIRY IN HAMILTON
FORMATION OF WAIKATO
BOARD
Advice of a public inquiry by the Local Government Commission into the formation of a, Waikato Catchment Board was received by the Rotorua County Council. The inquiry will be held at Hamilton on June 9, 10 and 11. The county chairman, Mr V. C. Florey, the County Clerk, Mr A. Bellingham, Cr A. L. Keith and the County Engineer, Mr T. S. Robertson, will represent the council.
Cr A. L. Keith moved that evidence should be presented along the lines of that given at Whakatanc—namly, the complete exclusion of Rotorua from the board.
