CRIPPLED CHILDREN SOCIETY
MEETING OF TAURANGA EXECUTIVE
LECTURE ON SPASTIC PARALYSIS
A report on the recent visit to Auckland, by representatives of the Tauranga Branch of the Crippled Children Society, to hear a lecture by Dr. Carlson, the renowned authority on spastic paralysis, was given at the April meeting of the executive of the society. Committee members, accompanied by Miss Tennent, the recently-appointed speech therapeutist, were taken to Auckland by Mr T. D. Murgatroyd, and a vote of appreciation to Mr Murgatroyd for his services was passed by the executive.
The report stated that the experience had been of great value, especially to Miss Tennent. * It was agreed to invite. Miss Tennent and Mr Grant, the surgical boot repairer, to become committee members for next year. The executive decided to confer with the Red Cross Society as to future arrangements in connection with diversional therapy work. Accounts totalling £6B/6/- were passed for payment and it was reported the balance at the bank was £393 18/2.
