Oropi Social Committee The Oropi Social Committee held its first meeting at the residence of Mrs Barry-Brown. Those elected to office were:—Chairman, Mrs B. Chaffe; secretary, Mr C. Scott; treasurer, Mrs E. J. Ake.
Building Permits % Reporting to the monthly meeting of the Tauranga Borough Council, the Borough Inspector (Mr F. C. Thomson) stated that nine permits were issued during March. Three were for new. dwellings to. cost £5442, two were for additions to existing dwellings costing £2OO. two were for alterations to business premises costing £SOO, and two for other erections costing £25. The total estimated exoenditure on all these works was £6167.
