ADDITIONAL IMPORT LICENCES HELPING AID FOR BRITAIN CAMPAIGN (P.A.) Wellington, April 22. Approval has been given for the issue" of additional import licences to obtain from the United States of America certain types of farm tractors which are not available from the United Kingdom at present. The Minister of Customs, Mr Nash, said tonight that, as a result of representations made, the whole question of importation of farm tractors had been reviewed, particularly in regard to the Aid for Britain campaign for increased wheat acreage. The approval had been given subject to an undertaking that farmers who had ordered tractors through importers would use them for ploughing'ground for growing cereals, and particularly for wheat growing. The licences would include a fair margin for spare parts.
