VIRTUES OF WOOL
What are the virtues of wool, in the order of importance? For answering this question correctly an Edinburgh woman recently won £250 in a competition run by the Internationa] Wool Secretariat and a British film organisation. The correct answer was found by 5 popular vote from many thousands of entries. According to news received by the New Zealand Wool Board this is it:
1) Wool is warm; (2) Wool prevents chills; (3) "Wool absorbs perspiration; (4) Wool is hard wearing; (5) Wool is elastic; (6) Wool protects from risk of fire.
