EAST LONDON'S CENTENARY

The chairman of the London County Council, Lady Nathan, today broadcast a message of congratulation to East London in South Africa, which is celebrating its centenary. She thanked the people for hospitality shown to British troops during the war and also for efforts made by South Africa to help Britain today.
