FRANCE BEING IGNORED
NEW GERMAN ECONOMIC ADMINISTRATION
WANTS SAY IN AFFAIRS OF ANGLO-U.S. ZONES
London, Jan. 13
A Paris correspondent reports on the French objections to the decision of the British and American commanders to set up a new German economic administration in the Anglo-American zones. Actually, he savs, the main French objections were the procedure which left them completely in the dark,
and seemed likely to be inflicted on them before they could make known their own views.
The correspondent adds that anything that gives the impression that France is being ignored in matters concerning what goes on across the Rhine is not unnaturally resented. The main French objection, voiced by one of the French newspapers, seems to be that the Government wants to eat its German cake and have it at the same time. These comments are made on the basis that the French Government has so far refused to join in the fusion of the zones, and yet still wishes to have apparently a hand in what goes on in the Anglo-Ame-rican zones.
