INFANTILE PARALYSIS PRECAUTION
Sh-,—There has been a certain amount of discussion in Tauranga recently about the danger of swimming in the polluted harbour, in connection with precautions agams. the spread of infantile paralysis. 1 consider that any danger from that source is improbable as the sea is known to have a purifying effect on any waste matter. People should take precautions against exposing the backs of their necks to the heat of the sun, however. The constant wearing of hats when outdoors, or the wearing of some form of protective scarf, similar to those used by boy scouts, would be a id^^l^am^etc.,
