SEA LINKS TO BE SEVERED
TRADE Yi T ITK THAMES AND PAEROA LAST TRIPS FROM AUCKLAND NEXT WEEK P.A. . Auckland, March 28. The main sea links between Auckland and the Firth of Thames for more than GO years will be severed next week, when- the Northern Steamship Company will run its last trips to Paeroa and to Thames and Ngatea. The motor-vessel Pono, with Captain B. Marshall in command will leave Auckland to-morrow on the last voyage to Thames and Ngatea and will return here on Tuesday. The motor-vessel Tuhoe, commanded by Captain G. V. Mills, will sail on Monday on the last trip to Paeroa. The Pono will be sold after 34 years' service with the company, but another trade will be found for the 2.6-year-old Tuhoe, which will be withdrawn soon for the installation of new engines.
