LAWN TENNIS
CHAMPIONSHIP AND HANDICAP TOURNAMENT
The annual championship and handicap tournament of the Tauranga Tennis Club will be held on the Domain courts commencing tomorrow, New Year’s Day, and will take a,t least four days to complete. So far 140 entries have been received and keen competition in all events is assured.
Players of the calibre of K. Dyer, who is to be congratulated on winning all three championship events at the Rotorua Christmas tournament, Aitkenhead, Jack Charters,, Wylds, Ron Lees, Mrs Skeen, Miss Burke the sensational Edgecuiiabe youngster, Miss Worthington and others will keep the spectators interested with a high standard of play.
