N.6.W. DISAGREEMENT Sydney.- June 8 Lending executive members of the Australian Labour Party accused the Communists last night or “cashing in” on t'h-s Labour Party’s plan tor the rehabilitation off the coal industry. Members take exception to the announcement by tlie Miners’ .Federation president, Mr H. Wells, that be proposed to eon tor with both the Australian Labour Party and tile Communist Party in Sydney next Tuesday. Supporters say the Labour Party will 'have nothing, .to do with the Communists c ! n coal or anything else. Federal and State Ministers met in Sydney to discuss the present grave coal situation. While they conferred the Railway Department decided to withdraw 2000 trucks from the 22,0 (VO available for ordinary traffic and transfer them to coal haulage. Electricity black-outs caused by breakdowns and the use of poor duality coal occurred in many suburbs. The talks will be continued in Canberra next week. ‘ Meanwhile, the production of coal remains high, but the shortage is acute and I wo, public holidays in the next fortnight will accentuate the position.
