A Renter message frem Bangkok quotes Siamese Government circles as saying that French forces today entered north-eastern Siam from Tndo-China. The French are said to have crossed a river which forms the frontier at two points and lo he marching towards a town. The French are also reported to have been bombarding the town which is about 200 miles north-east of Bangkok. Siamese police were said to have offered token resistance.
The correspondent says the Siamese Government issued u communique stating that it has informed the United Nations of the alleged adieu of the French troops and had appealed to the British and United Nations Legations at Bangkok to help to bring about a settlement. *
