The opportunity was taken by members, at the monthly meeting of the Tauranga Electric Power Board on Tuesday, to farewell two members of the staff who were leaving—Mrs E. Hammond and Mr L. Bell. In extending to them both the best wishes of the board for the future, the chairman (Mr S. C. Baron) referred to the valuable services rendered by the board by Mrs Hammond who was leaving after 21 years’ service. She had, he said, been a member of the staff since the inception of the board. Messrs W. E. Wickham and G. T. Wilson also spoke on behalf of the board.
