FEDERATED FARMERS MEET

The Oropi Branch of the I' e erated Farmers held its monthly meeting on Monday, April It. There was a good attendance of members. Mr B. Brown presided, r ' The present committee being only provisional, nominations were called for a permanent committee, the fol lowing being duly elected: Messrs J. B. Brown (chairman), R. Hamilton and A. Old (vice-chairmen), M. C. Entwisle ' (secretary), and J. al -' sons, J. Voss, H. Robinson, C. HLegg and D. Rogers. Many matters pertaining to the advancement of the district welc discussed. It was suggested that the Federated Farmers do something to speed up supply of fertiliser, which is a source of concern to local farmers.
Personal
Mrs Winwood Snr., with Mr and Mrs Tas Winwood and family, of Wanganui, spent the Easter vacation with Mrs Winwood’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs J. B. Rogers.
