General situation: The anti-cyclone centred just to the east of the South Island has intensified and so the depression over the north Tasman has made no progress.
The following forecast applies up to midnight to-night: Moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly winds. Weather cloudy with occasional rain in the high country. Temperatures moderate.
