OIL STOCKS IN MOROCCO
NO SEIZURE BY SPAIN AMERICAN ANNOUNCEMENT Washington,. April 16. The Secretary of State, Mr Cordell Hull, staled that the American Embassy in Madrid' was* inquiring into reports from London that Spain had seized American oil in Spanish Morocco. He added he did not believe any oil had yet been seized. The United Press has learned elsewhere that the Slate Department was aware that Spain contemplated the seizure of oil and that the United States issued a stern warning to Spain that it would not tolerate such action.
