EIGHTH ARMY PROGRESS
ANOTHER VILLAGE CAPTURED Enemy Position Over-run Germans Suffering Heavy Losses London. Dec. 20. On land in Italy, Eighth Army troops have at one point pushed a mile across the Ortona-Orsogna road and have captured another village. To-day's communique says that our troops over-ran an enemy position in this sector. Many Germans were killed. German losses have been heavy in other sectors, too. It is estimated that the 90th Panzer Grenadier Division, for example, has lost about 2500 men recently. Enemy tank losses have also been considerable. On the Fifth Army front there has been sharp fighting at several points and in one sector American and French troops have pushed the Germans back as much as two miles. They found the captured ground littered with enemy troops killed by our artillery.
