MECHANIC JOE
ANSWERS OWNERS' ir PROBLEMS PLAT SPOT FOLLOWING ENGINE OVERHAUL Q. —A thinner gasket has recently been fitted to my engine, but since then it seems impossible to eliminate a flat spot in the carburation. Would you suggest a change of needles or should it be curable by adjustment? The plugs and electrical equipment seem to be in order and are the original components fitted. —H.L. A: Your trouble may be due to carburation or it may be due to plugs. It is difficult to say. Have you tried adjusting the jet by the
screw at the base of the instrument* If so, we suggest you experimen with a different size needle.
