THEFT CHARGE
THREE MEN COMMITED FOR TRIAL
(P.A.) Auckland, Dec. 17. Three men appeared before Mr A. M. (Moulding S.M., yesterday charged with breaking and entering the premises of Laddaloc and Lady Jane Lingerie, Limited, at Newmarket, on December 5, and stealing lingerie and suitcases valued at £272 12s Bd. They were Fran}/ Norman Harrop, seaman, aged 37, Leslie Pearce, labourer, aged 38, and Frederick William Hopkins, sawmiller, aged 49. Mr Dickson appeared for Harrop and Pearce, and Mr Ae’kins for Hopkin. The three accused were also charged with receiving the goods, knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. All three accused pleaded not guilty and were committed for trial. Bail was allowed in each case at £250, with two surities of £250.
