TANKS ARRIVE
WALTZING MATILDAS VALUABLE ARMOURED FORCE Among the tank reinforcements recently received in New Zealand are some of the famous Waltzing Matilda type. This tank weighs 25 tons and is heavier than the Valentine and General Stuart, which are better known in the Dominion'. Like the Valentine, which it resembles, it is used as an infantry support track vehicle. It is distinguished by the commander's cupola in the top of the turret and by the armour enclosing the bogeys and tracks. •Although not so heavily armed as ■action against German tank forces •now requires, the Matildas, nevertheless, possess definite value. They will add to the country's strength of armour for certain possible work. Their training value is also an im.portant factor.
