NUCLEUS OF NEW ARMY LONDON, Jan. 24 The evacuation of thousands of Poles from Russia has been reported. They were carried hundreds of miles across Russia and transported to a Persian port, where special reception camps were established. The men are to be formed into the nucleus of a new Polish army for service in the Middle East, and the Russians have supplied them . food and clothing. As an instance of the great feeding task which was carried out by the Royal Army Service Corps, it is stated that in one month 1,250,000 rations were supplied. The evacuees numbered over 100,000, and included women and children.
