THIRTY-FIVE KILLED
U.S. TRANSPORT PLANE CRASH Washington, Jan. 22. Major-General Harold George, commanding United States air transport, has announced that an army transport plane crashed near the coast of Dutch Guiana on January 15, when en route overseas. The 26 passengers and crew of nine were killed. Those who lost their lives included Major Eric Knight, well-known author of “This Above All,” Mr P. E. Foxworth of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Messrs William Hodson and 0. E. Henryson, both of the State Department. The others mostly were military officers.
