DEATH-ROLL MOUNTS

BOMBED LONDON SCHOOL London, Jan. 22. The death roll of the bombed London school is now 57. Rescuers worked all last night in an attempt to locate the bodies. Squads of 100 men worked in shifts aided by a mobile crane under the light of flares. Some wreckage remains to be cleared, but it is thought unlikely that any further bodies will be recovered. It is officially stated that early last night a few enemy aircraft dropped bombs at places near the coast of South-east England. There were no casualties and only slight damage.
