Many Hits on Runways

London. Nov. 19

Japanese aerodromes in Burma have been the subject of three heavy attacks by the R.A.F. Last night our bombers a tacked an enemy aerodrome ill central Burma and scored many bomb hits on the runways. The night before our planes attacked the aerodrome at Mingaladone, near Rangoon. Slid they also raided another aerodrome at Magwe. All our planes returned safely. Speaking in the House of Commons Mr L. M. S. Amery said that it was still the intention of the Government to grant self-government to Burma as soon as the circumstances permitted. A Chinese communique states that communication between China and Burma is being threatened by a Japanese army of 30,000 which is moving across northern Burma.
