PAPAMOA BRANCH At the monthly meeting of the Papamoa Women’s Institute a happy gathering of members was presided over by Mrs Pevreal. The delegates’ report of the Tauranga council meeting was read. The roll call, “My Greatest Fright,” proved very amusing. A musical competition, aided hy Miss Pevreal as pianist, resulted in a win for Mrs Wills. Tire points competition resulted: best white d’oyley, embroidered, Mrs Gibbons 1; coloured, Mrs Riddell 1, Mrs Pevreal 2. Best lettuce: Mrs Riddell 1, Mrs Fetch 2. The hostesses were Mesdames J. McLeod and R. McLeod.
