BRITISH ARMY CHIEF
POST IN WASHINGTON Washington, June 16. Lieut.-General Gordon Macready has arrived to assume his post as chief of th.e British Army Staff in Washington. He succeeds Lieut.-General Sir Colville Wemyss. General Macready is responsible for designing the Bren carrier and he is one of the leading advocates of the Waltzing Matilda tank.
