AUSTRALIA’S DANGER Warning By Curtin Gravely Menaced By Japan London. June IT. In a nation-wide broadcast to the people of Australia, the Prime Minister. Mr Curtin, continues to insist that Australia is very gravely menaced by Japan.
“We face invasion.” said Mr Curtin, “just as surely as the people of Russia are experiencing it. The Ava,r against Japan can only be won it Australia is held. It is possible for Australia to be lost. If that Avere to happen the Avhole of the United States coast Avould be open to Japan.” , . „ Mr Curtin referred to the serious losses that the Allies were sustaining as the result of enemy submarine action Avhich he said had reached a high pitch of intensity.
