Chimney Fire. The Tauranga Volunteer Fire Brigade Avas called out at 8.10 this morning to a chimney fire at the premises of Misses Tait, Devonport Road.

Art Union Drawn. In the “Be the Next” art union drawn yesterday two prizes came to this district. They were, 172404, “Kanui Te Pai,” Strand Billiards, Tauranga, and 179704, “Sentry Go,” Spring Street, Tauranga. The first prize went to Tarris, Otago. Electric Radiators. The Electricity Control Order, 1942, issued recently, applies to all shops, offices, factories, warehouses, halls, theatres and other places of amusement and provides that no person shall use any electric radiator ojother electric space-heating appliance or equipment between the hours of 4 o’clock and 6 o’clock in the afternoon during the months of May, June, July and August on any day excepting Sunday.
