RAID ON DARWIN
NEW JAPANESE TACTICS Six Machines Shot Down Latest Attacks London. June It!. In the third successive raid on Darwin yesterday the Japanese used J 7 bombers and 15 lighters. Six of the enemy machines were shot down. Our losses were two planes. The raiders adopted a new formation. Hying in small Vs of three bombers each. The Vs dropped their bombs in succession. Formerly the enemy has dropped all his bombs simultaneously. In yesterday's attack the raiders (lew at between 15,000 ft. and 2l',oooit. and dropped their bombs more carefully than usual.
