WOMEN’S DIVISION
FARMERS’ UNION ANNUAL MEETING HELD There Avas a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Tauranga branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Owing to the unavoidable absence of Mrs McKenna, Mrs Meharry presided. The reports on the year’s activities showed that the interest in the division’s work was well maintained. Mrs Meharry gained first prize for the year in both the large and small bloom competition. Mrs Poole was first in the mixed competitions for the year. The election of officers for the year resulted; — President, Mrs Meharry; secretary, Mrs McGill; treasurer, Mrs McKenna; vice-presi-dents, Mrs Johnston and Mrs Poole; committee, Mesdames Robins, Still, Gibb, Searle, McCullough and AVood. The results of the monthly competitions Avere: Large bloom, Mrs Meharry 1, Mrs Johnston 2. Small bloom, Mrs Still 1, Mrs Meharry 2. Collection of garden seeds, Mrs McCullogh 1, Mrs Poole 2.
