.Mizac Day. There will be no issue of the Bay of Plenty Times on Anzac Day, Saturday, April 25.

Post Office. The post office will be closed on Anzac Day, April 25, and the telegraph office will also be closed. The telephone exchange will be open continuously.

Legion of Frontiersmen. The Legion of Frontiersmen will not parade on Anzac Day owing to so many of its personnel being on military service.

St. George's and St. David's Day. To-day is St. George's and St. David's Day. The day is normally a bank holiday, but these institutions remained open.

Big Auckland Fire. The Central Brigade was quickly on the scene, followed by other units from the metropolitan area.
