ANZAC DAY
TAURANGA'S TRIBUTE TO FALLEN
MEMORIAL SERVICE IX DOMAIN
Next Saturday, April 25, is Anzac Day, a day set aside for those who fell in the Great War. The day in Tauranga will be celebrated in the same way as last year with a combined memorial service in the Domain and the placing of wreaths on the memorial gates. The service is timed to take place at 2 p.m. and in the event of wet weather it will be held in the Town Hall. The principal speaker on this occasion will be Envoy Jones of the Salvation Army.
There will be the usual parade, which will begin at the intersection of Wharf Street and Cameron Road, and those taking part in it will include South African War Veterans, veterans of the Great War, members of the Second Battalion, Hauraki Regiment, Legion of Frontiersmen, Home Guard, Women's .War Service Auxiliary, Senior Cadets, Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, Boys' Brigade, Girls' Brigade, St. John Ambulance Assn., Tauranga Municipal Band, Fire Brigade, Auxiliary Fire Brigade aVid local bodies.
