FIRST MEETING
LAVAL'S NEW CABINET POLICY TO BE ANNOUNCED WARNING BY NAZI RADIO London, April 20. The first meeting of Laval's newCabinet took place at Vichy to-day. Laval is going to broadcast to the French people, stating his policy, when he leaves for Paris to confer with his German masters. It is expected in London that his trips to Paris will be very frequent. Marshal Petain in his broadcast failed to explain why Laval had been foisted on the French people.
The Nazi-controlled Paris radio has issued a sinister warning of what the French people may expect if they do not comply with orders. It states that the French nation knows that (he government will know how to use its iron fist to direct the people.
