LABOUR PROBLEM
SUGGESTION FROM KING COUNTRY A remit from the Northern King Country dealing with the shortage of labour on farms was considered at last executive meeting of the Auckland Farmers' Union. The remit suggested that "owing to the scattered nature 6f farms in this district good use could be made of the system employed by the County Council for combating ragwort, by using gangs of men for contract work on the farms.' The remit was approved.
