PRAYER
The saintly founder of the Society of St. John Cowley, on a journey when studying his Bible, was asked by one* of those .foolish people such as we now have to endure in trains if he had found peace. He replied at once: "No, sir, but war." I, in my humble opinion, think we should not pray for peace, but that, knowing the war to be God's war against the Devil and. his slaves, we should pray that one and all of us may with courage fight as good soldiers of the King of Kings. If we do :it will hasten His victory.—Rev. Herbert Williams, Eealing, W.
