Karloff Want to "Live"
One of these days, jßoris Karloff is going to get a real thrill. "I shall actually finish a picture," the famous shudder star says, "be on my feet, alive and well, when the director says cut for the last time.
Up to now, he has lived on the screen only to die, and the actor's last Columbia thriller, "The Devil Commands," is no exception. Cast as a scientist who talks with the dead, Karloff .perishes during 'his perie experiments. What's worse, as others carry on, he's not even seen as a corpse. "I got up in bits when my laboratory explodes," he explains.
