Glamour Must not Go Too Far
! Campaign has been launched here against daring frocks on screen, and in "still" pictures. The Hays Office has got busy and clamped down on decollette costumes because of revealing gowns worn by two sensational newcomers, Jane Russell and Veronica Lake. The films which have caused this stir are 'The Outlaw,' starring Jane, and "I Wanted Wings," in which Veronica makes a glamorous debut. A new order insists on higher-cut gowns, and some scenes in "The Outlaw" are being re-shot. Hollywood is asking: "Can glamour .stand up against this?"
