"WITHDRAWAL FROM GREECE
AMERICAN REPORTS SAY OPERATIONS SUCCESSFUL

The latest information from British headquarters in the Middle East regarding the operations in Greece 'is given in an official communique, bv British Official Wireless, stating that Empire troops are continuing their withdrawal.
This information is supplemented by the Sydney report of the statement by Mr Spender, which adds that Mr Snendev would neither con : firm, nor deny United States reports that the majority of the Anzacs had been safely evacuated with their weapons.
Nazis Pour Into Athens
Gevman troops are reported to be pourina- into Athens. The Germans claim that they have passed through Pa.tras into the Peloponnesus peninsula.
Tit Br'tm'n po radio, news from Athens has been picked urj sino.e Pimdav afternoon. The German radio that the ports of Patras and Corinth have been captured by parachute troops, but there is no confirmation of this. The last independent messages from Athens say most of the British troops left the Athens district on Friday amid moving scenes. Cheering crowds shouted "Au revoir."
