HOME LEAGUE
MONTHLY MEETING
There was a good attendance 0 f members and friends last Wednesday afternoon at the Home League meet' ing, which was opened iu the usual way by Mrs Envoy Jones. 1
Miss C. Cunningham then offered a prayer, and this was followed bv the reading of the scripture lesson by Mrs Sylvester; the roll call being afterwards answered by each member quoting a portion of scripture containing the word “greatness.” A warm welcome was extended to the visitors by Mrs Jones. There were several members of the Methodist Guild in attendance, and they presented a very nice musical programme, which was arranged by Miss K. Turner and Mrs Forsyth. Items were as follow:—Solos, Mrs L. Forsyth, “This is My Life.” Miss B. Bulmer, “Three Meetings.” Mrs R. Clarkson, “His Eye is on the Sparrows.” Miss B. Bulmer, “Ivory Palaces,” Miss K. Turner “When 1 Survey the Wondrous Cross.” Vocal duet, Mesdames Styles and Clarkson, “Calling.” Part songs, “What Will it be to See Jesus,” and “He Lifted Me.”
A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the artists for their splendid entertainment, this being carried by acclamation. Mrs Exley spoke on behalf of the Guild members, thanking the Home League for their invitation and cordial welcome.
The meeting closed with prayer, aftfer which a dainty afternoon tea was served.
