EFFORTS OF CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

IN AUCKLAND
Further steps to advertise the attractions of Tauranga in Auckland have been taken by the Tauranga Chamber of .Commerce, and in addition to the aerial photograph which was placed recently Sri the window of a busy bus terminal there, four large photographic views have been acquired and hung in the waiting room. At last month's meeting of the chamber there was somte discussion on the selection of a slogan to D 6 placed in one of the windows, and the task was delegated to a suncommittee. ~ Reporting to the chamber at w meeting on Tuesday evening uje president (Mr G. G. Norris) that the inscription chosen -w "Tauranga— where the sunshine spends the winter." . . He also reported that the sum « £ 4 had been spent in procuring fojj large photographs and these n< been hung in the waiting room. 0»e of the photographs was a view o the Mount beach, one a view 01 m bowling green, one a view of w harbour with a sailing race m P"J gress, and the other a view ol w Strand gardens from the Redoubt. The sub-committee's action »■■ approved.
